To define a position in a context that we all hope will be transitional is very difficult, even though we have a strong feeling that it will bring about a change in our lives, whether clinical, material, procedural or socially. This is further compounded by the fact that our own understanding is evolving as the months go by, so the proposal that won this curatorial opportunity in September 2020 will probably not be the same as the one explained today, in March 2021, or the one that will finally be exhibited in May this year. The Domestic Solid Waste Management Center (DSWMC) supports four separate processes: (1) waste sorting and recycling; (2) composting; (3) waste-to-energy incineration; and (4) the disposal of nonrenewable materials in a landfill. These processes work together synergistically, complementing and feeding off one anoth... More
