The main theme of the renovation of this small apartment is rediscovery.In fact, during the demolition works, previously hidden elements such as the vaulted brick ceiling and the arches that characterize the living room came to light. The existing layout followed the typical ringhiera arrangement, with living and sleeping areas divided by the central core of services. Vincentre by Diederendirrix pays a spatial tribute to Van Gogh

In the historic village of Nuenen, Diederendirrix designed an extension to the Van Gogh Village Museum called the Vincentre. The design layers architectural allusions to the works of the peasant painter Vincent Van Gogh from his time in the village. Ossip van Duivenbode Context: Van Gogh returned to his hometown in 1883 to live with his parents at the vicarage on de Berg. The then 31-year-old, honed his skills as an artist by drawing inspiration from the rural life of farmers, workers and weavers.
