Campus Deleers is Europe’s first building to bring education and urban production together under one roof. Located along Brussels’ canal, the project by SMAK Architects transforms a former industrial brownfield into a mixed-use neighborhood and demonstrates how Brussels’ vision of the Productive City can be realized. The 26,000 m² campus provides education for 1,300 students while integrating a zone for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) beneath the school. The extension of the German School of Valencia, designed by Orts & Trullenque Arquitectura and completed in 2020, represents the first phase of the Master Plan created to progressively transform the campus. The project includes a new secondary school building, a pedestrian bridge connecting it to the existing facilities, and new communal spaces, forming a key element in the school’s future expansion. The organization offers virtual, in-person, and outreach programming for K-12 students that frames current socio-political affairs through the lens of Eisenhower’s far-reaching—and still impactful—presidential initiatives. The BAU Bekaa Campus is a new multi-faculty university campus for Beirut Arab University, located in the agricultural landscape of Lebanon's Beqaa Valley. The project covers a 96,056 m² plot and accommodates 3,240 students across 8 faculties, with a total built area of 27,664 m². This project created a permanent home for the performing arts program at Greens Farms Academy, a private pre-K through 12 school in Westport, Connecticut. The challenge was to position a large theatre, gallery, and additional classrooms in a prominent location on the school’s 40-acre campus overlooking Long Island Sound. The 152,250 square-foot campus is aiming to be the largest net zero educational facility in the country once it is completed.
