The office as a brand embassy​For Octopus Energy's Berlin office, STUDIO VALE delivered a full-scope workplace fit-out, from the initial concept through to detailed coordination. The goal was to create an office that not only supports daily work but also acts as a platform for the brand's mission and innovation in the energy sector.  Near the dunes in Monster, derksen|windt architecten designed this striking extension, which transforms almost the entire house in terms of sustainability. The extension is constructed entirely of wood, covered with beautiful ceramic tiles that extend over the post-insulated facade. With the extension, a new gas-free full electric installation has been integrated into the house. Combined with the high-quality detailing the extension creates a renewed family home. In 1994, All State Insurance built a large corporate campus on Jacksonville’s southeast side.  The location is lush, with walking trails, ponds and moss-covered oaks. Nearly 30 years later, a forward-thinking developer, Trevato Group, bought the 30-acre site from All State, seeing potential in its location, landscape, and architectural bones. Trevato hired Valerio Dewalt Train to renovate the existing 8-story tower to support multiple tenants. Wood Canada’s new Edmonton workplace takes advantage of an existing office build-out in a unique building.  Constructed of repurposed rig mats and assembled in a steel structure, the interior spaces feature the exposed wood slat floors and ceilings throughout.  These materials resulted in an authentically industrial environment, which our team enhanced with the Client’s branding and workplace principles for their growing team. The Illustrative House v 2.1 is set on an imaginary flat landscape. The house derives its strength from the concept of 'energy' rather than conceiving a building as structure and walls. To this effect two wings - one built and the other landscaped - draw in energy from opposite sides of the spectrum and concentrate it within the living quarters of the house. Thus the house promotes longevity and good health. More
