Connect / Digital Bamboo Pavilion
This work illustrates the beauty of traditional bamboo weaving craft with the style of flowing space, thus creating a "connection" between the craft in the past and the digital space that represents the future. The weaving of free-form surface creates textures of different density and portraits a flowing space that connects and communicates between the inside and the outside as well as between the upside and the downside.
Bamboo is a sustainable and environmentally friendly material, and it's rarely used in modern society because of its natural defects. This work uses high-temperature processed bamboo materials developed by Taiwan Forestry Bureau and is combined with modern new-style spaces, hoping to re-enter the bamboo materials... More

Pavillon BAMBOU
Light, space, air… Those are some of the keywords behind the design inspiration for this project. A true representation of our “less is more” approach, with the Bambou Pavilion, our aim was to create a house that blended with the environment, all the while being resolutely modern. Key features of this pavilion are the use of bamboo from Assinie-Mafia for the house fence and the fact that the house can become a true open space, due to the integration of glass slide doors (as to opposed to brick walls) used as walls all around the house. THE PAUSE
Our response to the challenging architectural installation competition near one of the most important historic gardens “Afif Abad Garden” in Shiraz, Iran was PAUSE.PAUSE is the childish adventure feeling and inspiration that we have not experienced since so many years ago. PAUSE tries to revive the feelings that we have been ignored. Feeling of brick texture tactile; hearing the sound of our steps on the metal sheets, looking at the sky which we pass under of it every single day without any attention to it, not even trying to pause and enjoy watching it. Listening to the “water features located at the site”.PAUSE from the exterior is a cube that holds a suspended brick volume and this is adequate enough to incite the adventure and curiosity... More
