Liège Expo extends the workings of a typical Halles des Foires to the immediate urban environment, as a project that is closely knitted into the city’s dense and diverse fabric. A new public institute for Liège, and the beating heart of its event industry, Liège Expo holds a capacity of up to 10.000 people, with 5 expo halls and a multipurpose hall, covering more than 16.500 sqm for international and local events such as fairs, exhibitions and sport or cultural events. This project is a record for us regarding the complexity and number of lighting elements - super narrow spots, narrow and sliding beams, static illumination of the back wall with changing colors, and projection media content. This event hall is in a premium hotel complex near the lake in the middle of the forest. Covering an area of 2,000 square meters, 28 tons of bricks strung on metal strings without support create a unique wavy wall, which we used as a screen. Expolight Thirty-eight laser video projectors synchronously broadcast content sewn into one image with a length of 60 meters and a height of 7 meters. Sat within an old site with buildings aging up to 150 years, this modest multipurpose hall is located at the heart of the old Part of Tehran, in Laleh-Zar, once upon a time the Champs-Élysées of a Tehran. With a double height, the hall at its lowest level occupies the basement and at its highest the ground floor of an old carriage house. It takes up an area of approximately 110 square meters. The sheer contrast of an immaculate and engaging modern space with the old context and fabric of the site draws the audience to an uncanny sense of belonging and calmness. The historical ABB halls in Oerlikon are significant architectural reminders of Zurich’s industrial past. Their proximity to the business and residential quarters of Neu-Oerlikon gives them greater importance. In accordance with a revision of the special building regulations, the building is now being preserved and for the most part placed under protection.  The halls are being renovated, reinforced and technically improved with great care and attention to the existing structure in anticipation of their use for public events and large gatherings.
