In this small project we address the problem of the expressions coming from the exhibition of the material to the non-evident and that, in this case, link the architecture with natural elements. This probably reveals a conceptual richness that arises from an organic origin. We believe that these types of exercises can help to build and reveal a particular ethos, rooted in visual stimuli and evocations of the landscape.   This pavilion proposes a meeting place and exhibition of small artistic objects. The five self-built experimental houses at Svartlamon, a project initiated by the young architectural practice Nøysom arkitekter while they were still students, explores how architects can work towards a more frugal and sustainable use of resources by creating open-ended architectural frameworks that facilitate man’s natural adaptive capacity. Sun Room is an in-situ composite woven bamboo shell, which explores the potential of digital design and fabrication techniques to reinvigorate traditional craft. Bamboo weaving is both a sustainable and culturally significant method of construction in China, but due to its complexity and reliance on skilled labour, is in deep decline. Kinematix is spatial proposal developed for the headquarters of IT company Kinematix, a company specialised in developing technology for healthcare and fitness products, The spatial proposal is based on a continuous flexible system of sliding garage doors that create multiple spatial partitions, able to reorganise the space in many possible layouts. Taking advantage of the double-sided folded metal sheet surface, it was created a kinetic chromatic experience that changes when the viewer moves on space. Different orange-to-red tape stripes were added on the side-oriented sections of the metallic surface generating different space perspectives and colourful reflections. More
