House in Jastrzebia Gora
Designed by ARCHMONDO Architects for a family of six relocating from Poland’s Silesia region to a quiet Baltic town, this single-story house distills the brief into three essentials: simplicity, functionality, and light.

Architecture shaped by forest and light
The forest-edged plot, less than a kilometer from the sea, shaped both the architecture and the home’s discreet relationship with its surroundings.
The form draws on the archetype of a barn, refined into a contemporary silhouette. Two slightly offset volumes form an L-shape, connected by a restrained entrance link that conceals the main doorway.

De Nieuwe Wielewaal Rotterdam
A special area is located on the edge of South Rotterdam, between the city and the port. The Wielewaal enclave is located in the green zone, surrounded by park and trees. Well hidden from its surroundings, you can imagine yourself here in an environment that writes its own history. Here you can live in a recreational landscape where the houses are leafy and the greenery is never far away.

The new building is based on the previous volume and floor space. Even the small recess of the south facade follows the trace of the old house. The preserved basement serves as a plinth and offers space for bicycle, storage and technical rooms.
The new house is designed as a light wooden structure, with a spacious living, cooking and dining room, office and guest bathroom on the ground floor; children’s rooms and master bedroom with ba... More
