Traditional Linpan settlements consist of a collection of buildings that form mismatched courtyards and in-between spaces, connected by greenery and bamboo trees. Our proposed hotel seeks to enhance this unique spatial condition by connecting the surrounding existing buildings into a single complex, integrating the surrounding landscape with the architecture through gardens and courtyards. Wellington Office transforms the workspace into a warm and human-centered environment through the thoughtful use of materials and custom-built elements. Bespoke curved workstations, a reception counter with fluted detailing, and integrated bench seating are all finished in light oak veneer. Frosted glass partitions allow natural light to flow freely between areas. Semi-private workstations along the main corridor carefully balance openness and privacy while encouraging spontaneous discussions.
