Kinglake is a resilient community that continues to build on its long history. The Council and community have recognised the opportunity to enhance the awareness of Kinglake as a destination for day trippers looking to experience the change of pace offered by rural activities and the wilderness. Caption Caption They have also recognised the need to continuing building the services available to residents within the local community. Food Empire

The latest facelift of Emporium Mall presents fresh and comfortable share dining space experience for the guest. The concept of this design allows us to address previous issues where overall ambiance was dark and hence become a problem for vendors and mall operator. The overall idea for the renovation picks up on the setting of food plaza. Combining several numbers of tenants in a public space such as food court has its own challenges. And opposed to the previous design where there was no clear boundaries between each vendor, we address this issue with presenting a vibrant and modern space. The bright tone can be seen in not only the emulation of planters curb, but also in the loose chairs in the common area. The setting is set to be bright... More

Food Palace in Avenue Mall

Avenue Mall Food Palace is the center of happenings and social activity of the mall. Different types of seating have been designed for slow and fast food restaurants located in the same zone – the slow food zone being more intimate and hidden with comfortable chairs, the fast food zone more exposed to passers by and open to the mall corridor. Food Palace has been introduced into the existing Mall interior with its colors and refreshing design. With thoughtfully selected materials, furniture and lighting fixtures, all the restaurants have been connected and incorp... More

The Kitchens

The Kitchens by Landini Associates is an Australian first in food retailing. A swirling mix of food court, hall and factory, under one roof and one brand: “The Kitchens”. A Gastronomic theme park of provenance, passion, quality and community, laughter, music and stories about how food is made, by real people, for real people, in real time. A cacophony of eating, munching, making, baking, markets and maître-d’s. Engaged by QIC to reinvent “fresh food” in Australia, Landini created a “city of food”, transforming a mono-floored hall into a two story buzz of “manufacturers that sell” and “retailers that make”. Landini’s scope included the visioning, naming and branding, signage, packaging and uniforms as well as the master planning, inter... More
