The «city of Paris» and «water of Paris» wanted to give the possibility to the Parisians to wash their hands at the level of the public fountains. The CLEF designers’ collective seized the subject and proposed a soap dispenser that fits on all Parisian fountains. As soon as it was put into service in several parks, users, adults and children alike immediately embraced the idea and used it spontaneously. RAIN³ draws its fascination from the ambivalence of a very clean, almost sterile and artificial cubic shape and the natural untameability of water. The bold lines of the cube can not tame the water running in chaotic and unpredictable ways through its center, instead the cube merely acts as a threedimensional frame for the playfulness of the element, both housing and protecting it and amplifying the sound of a rain shower.This water spectacle is illuminated by warm or cool white LEDs.
