In the apartment created by PLUS ULTRA in the Sant’Ambrogio neighborhood in Milan for a designloving young couple, a layout characterized by contemporary graphic and textural accents enters the composition quietly, only to take on a leading role. Ecoustic® Torque Tile
Ecoustic® Torque is a functional, low-level reverberant acoustic tile. The chevron design is inspired by the architectural fretwork of the Art Deco period. Subtle and directional patterns can be constructed by altering the color and orientation of the tiles to generate formations that articulate light and shadow. Finished in a face of 100% polyester felt fiber and containing up to 23% recycled PET, Torque Tiles install in a snap with a simple clip system that is easily prepositioned on a wall or ceiling by use of an accompanying template. Tiles are shipped with an infill, which may be used to achieve a higher NRC rating.*Tiles are not sampled. Colors may be selected from ecoustic felt swatches. More

Café Got bar design embraces the urban vitality of Barcelona
With a long and active façade facing the street, Café Got is a spot where the city of Barcelona and Hotel Kimpton Vividora come together, inviting the community in.

The designers, El Equipo Creativo, were inspired by Ciutat Vella, and more specifically the Gothic Quarter and its street atmosphere, where little narrow streets lead you to unexpected plazas, patios, and entrances to residential buildings and stone, greenery and water are material essentials. It was decided to introduce these same elements to the design of the bar.

Although situated in the heart of Tokyo, the Yoyogi area retains much of its natural environment. The area is also home to numerous properties belonging to the client who engaged us to design this office building.
Given the site’s visibility from the train station, we opted for a design that incorporates open space on the eastern (station) side to emphasize the abundant natural features of the Yoyogi area. Yoyogi was named after a great fir tree that stood in the area for generations. Our design also sought to create a ‘tree’ that would serve as a local symbol.Borrowing the ‘Y’ from Yoyogi, we created the undulating patterns that give the building its three-dimensional frontage.
