Reopened in November 2009, the country’s most important international airport, Larnaca International Airport, is expected to handle up to 7.5 million travellers per year. 98,000 square metres, 67 check-in counters and 16 passenger boarding bridges mean that the rebuilt airport has tripled in size and is now much better equipped to handle international air traffic.
