Nobu Hotel Shoreditch
Ben Adams Architects (BAA) have recently completed Nobu Hotel Shoreditch, the most recent addition to their renowned international collection of hideaway retreats. This captivating luxury hotel offers a fine dining experience and stay in the heart of East London.The design marries the creative energy of the location with Nobu’s values of simple luxury with a façade that fragments at the eastern end and descends into a new pocket park, overlooked by the warehouses of Great Eastern Street to the north.Concrete panels were used on the façade in order to relate to the strong timber elements inside the building and bronze portal frames define both the hotel and restaurant entrance. Four apartments & office in Hackney, Stoke Newington Satish Jassal Architects have designed four apartments and office building in a backland site within the Clissold Park conservation area, Hackney. The design carefully references local building vernacular through details, materiality and fenestration rhythms. It interprets these architectural elements in a contemporary way. Jimi House
Jimi House is the remodelling of a Victorian terraced house in London’s East End and home to a gallery director and her family.
The three-bedroom house is located in close proximity to Victoria Park on a residential road adjacent to the Regent’s Canal. The refurbishment opens up the property, bringing in natural light and providing clear sight lines for the display of the couple’s art collection, as well as opening up the house to the garden. The renovation takes advantage of the generous spaces, stripping back unnecessary detailing to create spacious rooms for a growing family and an expanding contemporary art collection.
