Low-energy home draws from careful study of local agricultural buildings
On a tranquil coastal setting in rural Hampshire, this single-storey, low-energy home blends into its site thanks to sensitive massing and incorporation of natural materials.

The structure, proportions and fenestrations of these buildings were all carefully studied in developing a contemporary design that is sympathetic to the past and present industry of the local region.

Mottisfont Visitor Facilities
An abbey in the Middle Ages and converted to a residence in the thirties, Mottisfont Abbey is a historical English home with a large park along the river banks, a greenhouse, and a rose garden. A place of respite and relaxation, – in the past century its guests included artists, writers and architects – it now belongs to the National Trust and is open to the public throughout the year, offering a full programme of contemporary art exhibitions.

Holm Place
Holm Place is a new dwelling in the rural village of South Warnborough, Hampshire, UK. Planning permission was granted in August 2014, and the project was completed in July 2017.The 0.12 hectares site is located in the upper garden of Manor Court, a 17th century Grade II listed building which is situated in the South Warnborough Conservation Area.The design of the house aims to build a successful relationship with the listed building, utilising materials and forms that are reflective of the scale and proportion of the site.
