Imperial War Museums

A Mapei system of flooring products has been specified as part of a major redevelopment at IWM London. All works were co-ordinated by IWM’s Construction Managers, Lend Lease, and Mapei systems were installed by Polished Concrete Designs for ITC Concepts Ltd. The transformed IWM London includes new... The new building is to become the centre for the hitherto decentralized technical areas: Engineering, Mathematics, Social Services, Economy, Health, as well as the main installations of the University of Applied Sciences Bielefeld. This includes offices, meeting and conference rooms, seminar and practice rooms, labs of various types, workshops, experimentation halls, audito... More

AachenMünchener Headquarters

BRIEF Company representation, consideration of the existing building structure, urban integration. | ADDED VALUE The Company headquarters in the inner city usually form blind spots, unattractive to the public and desolate after office hours. Therefore, the design is not understood as an architectural but as an urban task with the aim of maximizing public space on the building lot. With a number of plazas, a direct footpath from the main train station and the inner city and the integration of external uses, the area becomes more attractive to the public. The demand for maximum public use and communication dictates the internal organization of the building. AACHENMÜNCHENER HEADQUATERS | AACHEN, GERMANY The annex occupies two blocks of late... More
