The Pavilion
The Pavilion sits within a large estate and began life as a decorative folly before being adapted into a residence. Over time, a poorly conceived mid-century extension compromised both the appearance and function of the original Grade II listed rotunda. The client’s brief was clear: restore the Pavilion’s architectural integrity while expanding the home to meet contemporary needs, without undermining its heritage value. Royal Picnic Cottage
A picnic cottage enjoyed by Queen Victoria when holidaying in Balmoral has been restored to its former glory by Moxon for The National Trust for Scotland. The project will preserve the building for future generations to enjoy and engage with its history and the surrounding landscape.

We were struck by our clients’ unflinching belief in their vision and destiny when they imagined the Teloneio as their second home. They recognised the potential for restoration instantly, while also seeing themselves as custodians of an important historical monument. Following distrust from locals about private restoration of Kardamyli’s landmark and a long approval process, we collaborated with a team of experts over eight years to bring the Teloneio back to life and give it a new purpose.
