The site is located on the mountainside with a view of the ridge in the distance, and the mountain terrain in the front with the sun behind gives off a bright and colorful light that allows people to feel nature intact. The first thought design team had when looked at the site was what would be the attitude of accepting nature as it is without damaging it, the attitude of living in nature, and what the architecture reflecting them looks like. The height difference of the site was more than two stories, and it accesses the road at the higher side, but the flat ground suitable for building a house was small. When the client, with a concerned look, showed us a triangular plot of land recently removed from a greenbelt zone, we felt it was a fateful moment—the beginning of an adventure in a triangular world. Choi Jinbo To the young couple, expecting to build a home for themselves and their child, the land must have seemed insufficient and inconvenient. But we saw in it the potential to enjoy both city and nature at the fringe of the urban boundary. Choi Jinbo A triangular plot, given the same area, naturally has longer sides than a rectangular one. Nixon house is a 4 bedroom property which has been cleverly designed to resemble a collection of modernised barns. To achieve this, the 3 wings of the building have been organised in an offset arrangement. The orientation of the buildings have been calculated to maximise views and solar gain. Their almost perpendicular configuration breaks up the massing and makes the property appear smaller. In addition this creates partially enclosed courtyard spaces at both the front and rear of the property. The project in Toulouse is divided into two units: The Adoma dormitory for young workers at the street and behind it a complex with twelve terraced houses for families.The Adoma complex consists of two blocks around a central core with communal areas and access zones. The second block is slightly recessed, creating a protected entrance area. The upper floor rests on slender columns. Thus the ground floor remains free and creates a connection to the surrounding green as well as roofed parking spaces for the residents.The individual mini-apartments are constructed as timber modules around a massive access core. The wood remains visible on the ceilings of the apartments and creates a warm, cosy atmosphere in the rooms. More

This contemporary apartment was designed to replace an old childhood home. Despite the limitations in the design of the plan and its inability to create a nostalgic atmosphere, we tried to design the facade of the structure’s corner with playful rainbow colored highlights woods, rusted bars, these colorful windows appears to be a painting for children and infants from the old home reminiscent of sweet childhood times. DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT We were engaged to design a family home for the Tangs, a family of 4. They have 2 children in their teens, and their needs were simply to provide for a comfortable and modern abode that would allow for their family to spend memorable times and stay closely knitted. It was envisioned the home would be sustainable as well, hopefully for the generations to come. CLIENT'S BRIEF Our Client's requirements were specific in their response to certain spaces. The living area was to be comfortably spacious and the dining and kitchen were important social areas both for entertaining friends as well as spending quality time with family.
