Revitalization of Tsui Ping River

Revitalization of Tsui Ping River is a one-kilometer-long urban design project, transforming a drab and musty Kwun Tong nullah into an ecologically sustainable Tsui Ping River in Hong Kong. In the past, this concrete nullah was designed solely for drainage discharge purposes, lacking in ecological value and vitality. Through ecological, landscaping, and environmental upgrading works, the project creates quality public spaces, realizing the vision of “Rivers in the City”. The Scents and the Soil

Innovative Design Meets Sustainability. A furniture art piece co-designed by the Oval Partnership and HK Timberbank has recently been recognised for its innovative approach to sustainability and design, earning a spot on the FRAME Awards 2024 shortlist for “Furniture of the Year”. Titled “The Scents and the Soil”, the sculptural concierge counter features salvaged wood from a 400-year-old camphor tree found in a local village in Tai Po, Hong Kong. Felled after being evaluated as a tipping hazard and then reclaimed by eco-startup HK Timberbank, the tree trunk was upcycled via eco-friendly processing and crafted into a functional and sculptural art piece in the form of a concierge counter. In-between Architects creates a simplex of two adjoining units in distinctive tones for a four-generation family from the age of 12 to 90 in Mount Regalia Kau To Shan, a serene and undisturbed location up in the layers of mountains.  The challenge lies where different needs have to be taken care for the family members at different age groups. The son's family seek a cool and minimal living style that allows greeting guests with ambience and evoking visual zones alongside the beautiful wine and cuisine. Can Lah

"CaN LaH" is a pronunciation of Singlish authentically well used in the culture. A restaurant has taken it as its name and presented innovative Southern East Asian cuisine to Hong Kong in IFC by Chef Chong, the chairman of the Society of Chinese Cuisine Chefs. Kevin Yiu – the founder of Minus Workshop, re-designed and transformed "CaN LaH", the restaurant that deliberately invites you to a staycation.   Yiu's conceptual direction sets you off to a tour satisfying the rich five senses, not just the visual.
