Chamberlain Hrdlicka Houston

Chamberlain Hrdlicka enlisted Gensler to renovate its downtown Houston office into a more modern and welcoming environment for its employees and clients. Focusing on themes of transparency, teamwork, and engagement, the design team strategically planned a space that offers a functional workflow and developed workplace neighborhoods that create adjacencies and an ease of accessibility between colleagues. A notable design feature is the connective staircase that anchors the office’s two floors and allows employees direct access to hospitality-like amenity areas. Overall, the new space exemplifies Chamberlain Hrdlicka’s commitment to creating an environment that reinforces the value the firm places on its people and the desire to b... More

The Stratulate-Forotan Residence

Located at 6008 Memorial, Houston, Texas. It is the transformation of a 2003 post-modern style residence, into an updated modern/contemporary home. The homeowners did not want to tear it down and start over, so it was up to us to bring it up to date. Key design elements are a total exterior facelift, opening up the interior public space, adding a new modern staircase and fireplace, total renovation of the kitchen area, adding a new awesome walk-in wine refrigerator, updating the master suite, and all of the bathrooms, completely redesigning of the 2nd floor spaces, and creating an awesome backyard outdoor area - with pool, kitchen, etc... It sits just down the street across from the LeBlanc-Cox residence, which was the feature home on the 1... More

The Griffis Residence

It is a 4,600 square foot, one story, Mediterranean style residence, with 3,100 square feet of garage space, a grand front courtyard space and expansive rear porches. The key to this project was to design the residence to take advantage of its wooded one acre lot, without losing the sense of human scale and proportion.  A perfect home for a car collector.  Located in Bender's Landing Estates, Spring, Texas. Residence on Country Club Drive

Located on the golf course in Victoria, Texas, this contemporary style residence is 4,300 square feet in size. The ability to enjoy the views of the golf course, while still maintaining a sense of privacy was key in the design process, as well as designing around three large existing live oaks.  More

The McQuade Residence

This is a 4,000 square foot  "Texas Hill Country" style residence, located in Bender's Landing Estates, Spring, Texas. The Nguyen Residence

This was actually the second house that I designed after I started my own Architectural firm. I worked closely with the clients to create an open floor plan, that takes advantage of the 'left-over' lot that they purchased in The Woodlands. Designing a house with a unique lot was really a fun experience, as well as a challenge, and led to the cool "Y" shaped floor plan. The great room is one of the best spaces that I have ever designed, and love the feeling I still get when I step from the small foyer out into the grand space.   Located in The Woodlands, Texas.Featured on the 2013 Woodlands AIA Home Tour. Published on Arthitectural.com, an online Architectural website, in January 2013. More

The Policello Residence

A Mediterranean contemporary residence that I designed for clients building in Houston. We wanted to keep the interior light and open, and go with a more minimalist scheme. On the 2nd floor, we did an entire apartment setup, so someone can live there independently if needed. The main public spaces all open up to each other, making the interior feel even larger. The pool is covered with a large screened-in lanai. The homeowners are happy, so I am happy, and it looks great inside and out. More

The design was inspired by the home featured in the 1955 Alfred Hitchcock thriller, North by Northwest. It is a modern design with an overall "Frank Lloyd Wright" feel. Open spaces with high ceilings and large windows, the home backs up to the Hogg Bird Sanctuary and Bayou Bend. The pool is also custom designed to the slope of the property featuring two levels and three waterfalls. THE RICE RESIDENCE

This project is really two parts: a main house and a guest apartment/work shop, which is constructed in the city of Bellaire, Texas. The main house is a 5,000 square foot residence, and the guest apartment/work shop is comprised of an 1,100 square foot apartment above an 1,100 square foot work shop. This house is designed in a contemporary "Victorian" style, in which most of the excess decoration is stripped away. More
