LIGHT HOUSE

The more than 1,000-square-metre plot on which we designed the "Light House," is located in a well-ordered enclave of single-family houses in the vicinity of Radomierzyce, near Wrocław. The magnificent mature tree stand gives the place a unique character, and the newly built houses shape the architectural quality of the estate, which has a modern character. The developer had a clear objective: to create a modern house that makes use of and blends in with the surrounding wooded landscape. JABRAARCHITECTS JABRAARCHITECTS JABRAARCHITECTS The design of the building is inscribed in the regularly square geometry of the plot. The body of the house is a two-storey layout, and the entrance has been placed centrally in the body of the... More

Wakehurst Road

With surgical care and close study of the site levels, Matthew Giles Architects have redesigned and upgraded a 6-bedroom Victorian house in Wandsworth.   Matthew Giles Architects have lavished care and attention on this home. Timber, stone, concrete, brick and Corten steel are deftly crafted resulting in an interior that feels highly tactile. Lorenzo Zandri At the front of the house, new parquet flooring guides the eye th rough the lobby towards the light flooding in from the garden.   Almost like a stage set, levels have been used to create a space that is both singular, and comprised of three distinct parts. The first faces onto the street, the second acts as a reading nook, then the final sunken space looks out over t... More

Benjamin Benschneider Outdoor living on an urban lot is made possible through the use of transparency and multiple points of access, with the primary living areas facing the lawn and connect... More

House H

The building stands in the borough of Santa Maria, place of pilgrimage near Dobbiaco. At the edge of the village, the site consists of a slope towards South, facing the sun and the Dolomites.   The idea of the project was developed starting from the restrictions imposed by legislation, such as minimized building surface and the requirement of a pitched roof parallel to the slope. The final volume and the concept of the whole project is the result of a subtraction process. Starting with the maximum volume (as derived from given height and surface) certain parts of the volume were substracted to create specific functions; a covered space for parking, balconies protected from the weather, and the terraces in the attic level which introd... Traveler's house

This house is unique and special, because it has round form and a huge list with technical task. We named it Traveler’s house, as it characterizes the main idea of interior solutions. The hallway, living room at first and second floor, kitchen are made in Mediterranean style with Italian motive. This is affable, neutral and cozy style. All of these concern central area of the house. One of the most elegant rooms in the house is a parlor. There is Italian wood, which contrasts with light ceiling. The parlor is genuine, with real antiquary staff from all over the world. Also, there is a big library with books, which the costumer loves to read in his comfortable leather sofa. On the walls you can see the collection of butterflies, sea knots an... More
