Yet their texture is still uneven and uncertain, creating a shimmering effect across the surface. So we have a structure, but one that’s softened by shading, and by a muted colour palette.
The subtle uniformity of Assur - Nippur lends an understated precision to floors in many situations – from offices and retail to hospitality and leisure. Interface Lutetia
Fractured glass. Misshapen concrete. Cracked earth. The jagged lines and distressed surfaces of Lutetia bring all these images to mind. This is destruction and desolation in three dimensions – both natural and man-made. All the elements are damaged and tarnished. No longer useful, but still inspirational.
Dull, rough tones recall the colours of minerals and metals at different stages of corrosion. Over large areas, these are strangely attractive and highly adaptable, complementing many contemporary interior schemes. And no matter how busy the space is, Lutetia’s sturdy cut-and-loop pile construction – made sustainably with recycled material – stands the test of time.
