Shahav Tower
The Shahav Tower is situated in a prime location, between 2 highways and in close proximity to the bus terminal and train station of Kfar Saba, central Israel. The tower consists of a ground floor dedicated to commercial use and 20 floors of office space. In order to maximize the commercial area of the ground floor the first floor was enlarged, allowing the creation of an external area for the restaurants, offering a shaded open space.One of the main objectives of the project was to follow a tight schedule, and complete the project in a short period of time, in 1.5 years. located in a quiet neighborhood in Tel Aviv, Israel, this apt. got a complete make over. The home owners are a young couple, an architect and her husband - so the main challenge of the project was enabling the fulfillment of the architects’ very specific vision within the limits of their strict budget.
One of the strategies used in order to achieve those goals was buying some of the lighting and plumbing fixtures and home styling items from “Ali express” and similar online sites, saving up to 10% of the entire budget. Michael Sela Auditorium
The existing Auditorium, is a great example of Modernism, designed by iconic Israeli architects Arieh Sharon and Benjamin Idelson in 1955. The 2,000m² building is the largest performance hall on the Weizmann Institute campus.
HQ Architects were commissioned to undertake the renovation and extension of this iconic building, which falls under strict ‘preservation’ rules, and where the facades and contour of the building cannot be modified.
