Baldi

When second-generation restaurateur Edoardo Baldi opened Baldi at the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills, the vision was clear: to create an Italian steakhouse rooted in ritual, hospitality and enduring craft. Located on the terrace of the Waldorf Astoria Beverly Hills in Los Angeles, this space is not a literal recreation of Tuscany, yet its spirit is unmistakable. Ema Peter Baldi is envisioned as an Italian steakhouse shaped by the culture of Italian hospitality and dining ritual. The design draws from the warmth, craftsmanship and shared table traditions associated with Italy. The emphasis on terracotta hues, natural materials and layered intimacy reflects this foundation. Ema Peter Wood plays a defining architectural role. Slatte... More

GRASSA restaurant

Grassa is an Italian restaurant in the centre of Moscow. In its interior, we conveyed the vibe of the streets of Bologna and created a warm, chamber-like atmosphere, where every visitor will feel like a favourite guest of the owner and the chef. We emphasised the main values of the project -openness and sincerity - in the layout: all the processes of the restaurant take place in front of the visitors' eyes. As soon as you enter the place, you see the chef greeting you right from the open kitchen. You may further see the bouquets of spices drying, a cloth carelessly thrown over: everything is sincere and lively as if you were at home.  Varvara Toplennikova Grassa's interior is discreet, subtle, built on nuances through which it g... Bambino Restaurant

Located in the heart of Saigon’s District One, Bambino caters for eighty guests, with plenty more room for its after-dinner supper club service. Anchored by a large central void topping out two floors below, the kitchen is separated from the main Restaurant, Bar, Private Dining Room and outdoor Terrace. In keeping with a brief that required an Italian dining experience that could seamlessly transition to a late-night music venue, Looks Generous honed in on their Client’s future minded values to drive the venue narrative. Phu Dao As a data-driven, narrative-led design office, Looks Generous explored how one might imagine a future today by referencing the artistic values of two contrasting Italian luminaries. Leaning towar... More

ONO Sushi restaurant Mantua

The project involves the stylistic renewal and the best redefinition of spaces and routes based on the new needs that arose after the first opening dating back to 2012. The main requirement was the reduction of seats and the return of a more intimate atmosphere and private for the tables. Soft lights and tips aimed at the tables, very dark shades and the use of pure materials such as raw waxed iron and black-stained wood restore intimacy to the environment. Davide Galli Atelier The only note of color is cobalt blue, memory of ancient oriental ceramics, used to highlight the beams and supporting pillars on which the sushi counter covered in milled black-stained wood rests to recall the rhythm of the Makisu (bamboo strip mat used for th... Numero Zero

Numero Zero is an Italian restaurant designed by Delo studio. The restaurant is located in Vasileostrovskiy Market which is a vast foodhall in the historical center of Saint Petersburg. Bearing in mind the origin of Numero Zero’s cuisine, Delo turned its space into an Italian courtyard. To recreate patio’s atmosphere, the designers used large terracotta blocks that refer to traditional Italian architecture and isolate the restaurant from foodhall's common area. The result is a private space centered around an opened kitchen. Since Delo also specializes in furniture design and manufacturing, the interior features brand's signature objects. Apart from these items, wooden tables and lightning fixtures were custom-made in the local... More

Bifulco Exclusive

An old 1950s factory in the heart of Naples' Ottaviano district is transformed into a butcher's shop and sandwich bar thanks to the passion and determination of the Bifulco family, butchers for 4 generations. The Bifulco Exclusive project by architect Michele Piccolo is a huge complex on two levels of 300 m2 each, in addition to a rooftop terrace above. The ground floor houses the butcher's store, designed with all the connotations of a jewellery outlet and clearly inspired by the meat boutiques found in northern Europe, with a gourmet sandwich bar above it on the first floor. The flooring chosen for the ground floor is the Evolution Marble collection by Marazzi, its marble-effect a hymn to the old butchers' shops of the past where this mat... More

Mano a Mano

The restaurant is located close to Cais do Sodré Station, in a recently recovered Pombaline building with three fronts: one on Rua do Alecrim, which will contained the main entrance, another on Rua do Ferragial, and a third on Rua de S. Paulo, one level up from that street. The project briefing was very clear: an Italian restaurant with a pizzeria, an open kitchen with full views of the ovens and an informal atmosphere, to be located in a recently recovered Pombaline building. The space was handed over in the rough. It has plenty of daylight because of its three fronts and its long narrow configuration, wrapped around the building’s stairwell. Our approach to the project began by defining a layout that would comply simultaneous... More
