Nuova Scuola Secondaria di Primo Grado

The project begins from a project competition AWN (Archiworld Network), organized by the Municipality of Alpago in 2018, to contrast the depopulation phenomenon by investing in educational buildings. Gustav Willeit Gustav Willeit Gustav Willeit The new school develops around the theme of “covered square”, following a primitive idea of settlement, constituted by a volume suspended on four nuclei, which produces a covered space in direct continuity between inside and outside, with the function of a civic center in extracurricular hours. Gustav Willeit Gustav Willeit Gustav Willeit The colored concrete nuclei, which house the service rooms, define the perimeter of the agorà, where the function... More

TRULLO GR

The project involves the renovation and expansion of a traditional stone structure in Fasano, Brindisi, creating two independent residences for owners and guests. Located in the hills of Fasano, the property is surrounded by 8,000 m² of olive groves. A pathway bordered by dry stone walls and two monumental oaks leads to a semicircular courtyard, providing access to the residence. villa Bianca

The building plot featured a natural slope and was located on the outskirts of Lamporecchio, at the junction of two roads leading toward the town center. The previous owner anticipated future development by modifying the site's original topography. By adding fill, he created a level platform that improved views and increased privacy from the street. This elevated, panoramic corner serves as the conceptual starting point for a project focused on engaging with the surrounding landscape while maintaining the privacy requested by the client. The residence is designed as two superimposed and offset parallelepiped volumes—simple, solid forms whose interplay creates visual interest. The upper volume, more prominently visible from the road,... More

Centro parrocchiale Casalserugo

The project aims to provide an opportunity to rethink and reconnect the relationships between the key elements of the settlement system, which are already common in many urban contexts in the Veneto region: the sacred building, the manor house, and the crossroads. These "actors" of urban life also represent the nodes of a loose fabric, yet in continuity with the rural landscape, which reinforces its civic vocation. Alessandra Chemollo Alessandra Chemollo Alessandra Chemollo Alessandra Chemollo The new Parish Center is conceived as an extension in continuity with the Church/Palazzo Orsato complex, the rectory, and thus constitutes its completion. The solution draws upon two typological themes that have shaped the Italian... More

Casa Friscanzana

Friscanzana house is a country mansion harmoniously placed in the network of  stone walls and typical paths in the countryside surrounding the Sicilian town of Ragusa. Caption The house consists of a main building, extending lengthwise with a string of broad rooms divided by transversal bearing walls, and two juxtaposed annexes. Caption The project is based on a deep and (auto)ironical analysis of the Sicilian character, meant both as a body of endemic behaviors and as an interpretation of clichés about the “Sicilian man” found in the media and particularly in movies.
