Foresthouse Blankwater
At the blueberry plantation Blankwater in Swalmen, Jasper Smits Architects designed the most recent addition: Forest House Blankwater. It is a group accommodation with 15 spacious sleeping quarters. The wooden forest house is part of a 62-hectare estate. The estate includes a forest, grassland, a blueberry plantation, and a lunch café: Plantage Blankwater.

De Nok
The former residential farmhouse on Brandsweg was destroyed after a fire. The historical context called for restoration of the rural appearance to contemporary standards. The resident’s wish was a sustainable life-proof home with all support functions on the first floor.

The main volume of the new farmhouse remained the same in ridge and gutter height. To prevent cluttering, the length of the house has been increased. This makes the farmhouse house more recognizable from the street and allows all functions in the new main volume.

De Vereeniging
DE VEREENIGINGParish building, rehearsal room for the church choir, library, concert stage for The Golden Earrings, and day-care centre. The prominent De Vereeniging building in De Bilt has lived several lives since 1930. Jasper Smits Architects transformed the elongated building into a pleasant home for two families, respecting its eccentric past.
