When the client came our office first time, he told us about his plan of second life in Jeju with coffee, music and nature. Jeju Island is the most popular vacation spot in Korea, and the site he chose was located at the western end of the island, where sunset with Cha-gui-do (Whale Island) is visible. For him, the scenery of sunset with the island was the most important thing, so we designed an open trapezoidal building toward the island.  This project is located at the Amorepacific Headquarters in Yongsan, Seoul, designed by David Chipperfield, the 2023 Pritzker Prize. The design approach focused on integrating the building seamlessly into a meticulously coordinated modular system, while also embodying the brand’s identity. Cho Guenyoung Cho Guenyoung Cho Guenyoung  Ojeje is a brand with an identity of Jeju Island. The large mass on the front reminds of a huge stone island and symbolizes the locality of Jeju Island.
