Kelvinator

The concept of the Refrigerator table originated at a friend's apartment in Turku, Finland. Both were architects doing their internship there and staying at an apartment rented out to them by their carpenter. They needed a drafting table to work on drawings which essentially was a flat stable surface. The architect under whom they were employed gave them a scrap refrigerator door for the purpose. The concept of using recycled materials for furniture originated from there. The table consists of a vintage Kelvinator door, its condenser coils and metal procured from various scrap markets of Mumbai.
