As part of the major redevelopment of the Children’s Garden at Lauritzen Gardens the park launched an international open call for a new artwork to serve as a centrepiece at its highest point. The brief called for a piece that would appeal to children, invite interaction, occupy a modest footprint, feel integrated with the garden, and act as an attractor visible from the nearby Route 80 highway.

Contemporary Waterfront Home in a Natural Setting
Situated on the Gulf of Finland, this waterfront residence combines minimalist architecture with traditional Tudor elements. The property spans 2 491 m² and includes two buildings: the main house and a guest house with an integrated staff annex and garage. A winter garden connects the two structures, creating a green oasis that softens the sharp geometry and adds a sense of harmony to the composition.

Xilamuren Silk-Road Dreamland Steppe Resort
The Xilamuren Steppe, situated in Baotou, a northern border city in China, boasts a classic plateau steppe terrain north of Yinshan. At 1700 meters, the site is reached by climbing the Daqing Mountain from Hohhot. The temperate zone continental monsoon climate, characterized by strong southeast winds, contributes to the flourishing grassland environment. Xilamuren Steppe, one of the earliest developed steppe destinations in Inner Mongolia, has also been influenced by the abundant mineral resources. Architect Bian Baoyang led the team PLAT ASIA and created an iconic resort designed to aid in the recovery of the grassland ecology and offer a diverse tourism experience on the steppe.

Cloud Tea Room
The teahouse is nestled on a tea field, Lu Yu Tea Cultural Campus, Xisaishan Resort, Huzhou, China, in a Subtropical Monsoon Climate, floating south of hills, service for a cultural resort. Where Lu Yu (733-804) wrote <The Classic of Tea> and lived in seclusion, the resort plans a series of teahouses in the various landscapes, including tea fields, hills, lakeside, and forests. The Cloud Tea Room especially settled on a hillside, the highest site in the resort. Designed by Mjölk architekti, The Guard Patrol comprises a series of small stops in the form of steel and wood installations on the mountain above Rokytnice in the Czech Republic.

The original intention of the local municipality was to create a classic lookout tower in the area; however, the topography of the existing landscape ultimately proved unsuitable for this due to a lack of good views from standard heights.
