Fish Trap House IV
Artist Cheng Tsung FENG applies Taiwanese traditional fish traps as the theme of artwork. Invited hundreds of local in Taichung to workshops to learn weaving the art craft of the fish trap. With them hundreds of fish trap was made and hang bamboo sign with their wishes on it. People surround hand by hand unite together. Rewrite the precious art craft which is going to vanish into our memory and body.
Recently, Cheng Tsung FENG was invited to create a lantern in the most fabulous event - Taiwan Lantern Festival. He began a huge collective work plan for this two-week celebration.

Palo Alto Lantern House
The Palo Alto Lantern House adds a new vision of modern living to the eclectic styles of its surrounding suburban neighbors. The house features an open plan of public spaces on the main level, all connected by a floating cedar ceiling that extends into the outdoor space. A playful circular opening in the cedar ceiling creates a view of the sky while filtering geometric patterns of natural light that evolve over the course of the day onto the patio below. A slender vertical window shaded by a cedar rain screen runs the height of the front stairwell and casts rays of sunlight across walls during the day and, like a lantern lit from the inside, emits horizontal stripes of light at night. Vertical House
Located on one of the few lots in Dallas elevated enough to enjoy a view of the downtown skyline, the five-story Vertical House rises dramatically above the treetops to capture views of the surrounding gardens and the skyline beyond.
Characterized by clean lines, sheer glass walls, and sculptural sun shades, this sharply-detailed house offers an intriguing counterpoint to the tropical ambiance of its forest-like setting.
The client, an avid collector of exotic plants, wanted a house that would not only maximize views of the site, but also maintain privacy from neighboring properties.
