Scandic Pohjanhovi

Located in the heart of Rovaniemi, Finnish Lapland, the renewed Scandic Pohjanhovi opened its doors just in time for the Christmas season. An icon of northern functionalism, the hotel has remained a landmark of Lapland’s tourism heritage for generations. Fyra was entrusted with the redesign of its public spaces: the restaurant and bar, lobby, conference rooms, gym, and areas for children and youth. Riikka Kantinkoski Riikka Kantinkoski Pohjanhovi’s original identity guided the new concept. During the process, the layers developed over time were removed, and the space was adorned with an understated elegance. Jänkä Resort

At Jänkä Resort, luxury means time: time for yourself and for those around you. The concept is built to make presence effortless. Stillness becomes a counterforce to everyday hectic rhythms, with wellness and nature placed at the core of the experience. Thoughtful details elevate the stay, creating an atmosphere where leisure feels natural. Fyra’s design work focused on the Safari House, including its restaurant, lobby, and safari-related functions. Lapland Central Hospital Extension

Lapland Central hospital extension turns the 1980’s hospital into a patient-centered campus that supports active rehabilitation and healing. The new humanely efficient hospital is a public building integrated into the living city, moving away from the concept of an isolated institution. Niclas Mäkelä Niclas Mäkelä Niclas Mäkelä Originally completed in the 1980s, the Lapland Central Hospital was designed by one of Finland’s most renowned hospital architects, Reino Koivula.
