The Field of Knowledge
In his statement of intent, Michel Rémon described the site of the university of law, languages and economy at Cergy by creating a unifying "vacuum": the "field".
As is often the case, the spatial designer preceded the architect: "Because this university was meant to be a key element of urban character in the new city of Cergy, I first created the empty space around which the building is anchored. Around the campus – etymologically, the "field" – its U shape found its place. Machado Meyer Advogados Office
The role of an office transcends offering a workspace. It should also transmit the corporation’s values and culture while promoting employee interaction. Technological evolution and increasing adoption of home office intensified this function, generating a need for more flexible, collaborative work environments. This is how Perkins&Will imagined the new headquarters for the renowned law firm Machado Meyer Advogados, which occupies eight floors of a new corporate building in Faria Lima Avenue, in São Paulo. New Fordham Law School
Occupying an exceptional site just south of Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, this competition-winning design is the first project of Fordham’s ambitious 24-year master plan to transform its Lincoln Center campus.The 22-story building, clad in a curtain wall of architectural precast panels, metal, and glass, is shaped with a series of undulating arcs to make an engaging gesture toward Lincoln Center while providing a distinctive identity for the Law School.
