Northpoint City
Northpoint City is the largest sub urban mall in the north of Singapore. It consist of more than 400 retails. The existing north wing was reconciled with the new south wing, Architecturally using the language of light, that was inspired by nature. With the dynamic vertical blades of light, interpreted as trunks and trees of the nearby town garden.Light fixtures concealed in the ETFE and glass canopy structures, generates a multi colour vibrant spectrum that illuminates the canopy; which resembles a giant colorful bird landed in nature, symbolising prosperity and a mark of attraction to visitors and shoppers.The landscape deck at level 3 and 4 serves as a communal space and breakpoint, from the retail therapy. KL Sports City
Populous and Malaysian Resources Corporation Berhad (MRCB) worked together a shared vision for the first stage of KL Sports City.
The catalyst for the project was this year’s Southeast Asian (SEA) Games, Kuala Lumpur 2017, an important opportunity to return Malaysia to the world sporting stage.
Originally opened for the 1998 Commonwealth Games, the brief called for the transformation from design to completion within 18 months; providing four ‘new’ world-class venues to stage major events and recreation facilities for the Malaysian community year-round.
