Hurst Avenue
Mulroy Architects have successfully rebuilt and delivered an extensive family home of outstanding quality and size in London’s Crouch End. The practice was appointed to achieve a large extension that would drastically transform the 327 sqm house from its previously small bedrooms, cramped communal spaces, and non-existent connection to the garden – into 450 sqm of bright and open common areas and generous bedrooms, with rich views of the luscious, landscaped gardens – forming a seamless relationship between the interior and exterior.

No Ordinary House
Like many 1920s houses, this double-fronted home in north London, had been burdened by decades of ill-conceived extensions, blocking natural light, and creating a fragmented, inefficient flow. Its once grand proportions were stifled by narrow sightlines and disjointed spaces. But with an imaginative redesign by Mulroy Architects, this four-storey, five bedroom house has been reborn – now a light-filled, family sanctuary optimised for user wellbeing and warmth.

Walcot Square mews
FORMstudio’s terrace of five ingeniously planned two-storey + basement split-level houses and a detached ‘garden house’ on a brownfield site of post-war garages and an adjacent land-locked walled garden in Kennington, London was commissioned by The Walcot Foundation, which exists for the relief of poverty through charitable donations.

Oak Cottage
Located next to Epping Forest, Oak Cottage was originally carefully designed and constructed in an Arts and Crafts style in 1901, but had been added to in a piecemeal fashion since then. These more recent additions included an entire new bay in 2006 which had added a further half to the overall floor area. By the time the house was purchased by our clients, any trace of its original quality had been largely lost.
