Bay House
This residence on Long Island’s Noyack Bay frames spectacular water views, optimizes indoor-outdoor beachfront living, and emphasizes openness. Two offset parallel wings aligned with the shoreline are connected via circulation areas at each level. Dramatic living spaces are oriented to the water while support spaces face inland.

A semi-detached study and pool cabana punctuate the east end of the northern wing and experience both views. Sunlight streams through glass curtain walls, while louvered screens provide views, shading, and privacy. A lap pool runs perpendicular to the house, aligning with a framed view to the water. This void offers shelter and seating on two levels.... More

The Bridge Golf Clubhouse
The Bridge is a private golf club on a 350-acre hilltop site at the highest point of the eastern end of Long Island. Its clubhouse is organized in bladelike shapes that recall both the dynamism of a golf swing as well as the form of a turbine wheel in a racing engine. The latter is a reference to the celebrated Bridgehampton racetrack that occupied this site from the 1950s until nearly the end of the 20th century.

Surf Shack
Located steps from the Atlantic Ocean on Long Island, Surf Shack is a refined interpretation of the suburban American Dream. This project involved the renovation of an existing traditional cottage and the addition of a pool and a guest/pool house.

Redesign of the 1,500 square foot shingle-style cottage raised the roof, created a more open floor plan that placed bunk-beds for 8 kids within the center with a walkway around the perimeter and introduced more natural light. An above-ground lap pool, made of a subtle pink Corian perches in the landscape, picking up the hue of the sky at dawn and dusk. A silver Airstream PanAmerica travel trailer serves as a guest house and pool house.... More

Pond House
Pond House is part of a large estate on Long Island directly adjacent to Mecox Bay. This house is the third piece which acts as the sole contemporary addition to the estate. Two simple gable-shaped volumes of glass are shrouded in horizontal western red cedar wood slats, providing a delicate, layered interior experience while alluding to traditional barn forms in the region.
