Posetano

Set along the Pacific Coast Highway in Pacific Palisades and within a short walk to the ocean, the Posetano Residence offers 270 degrees of endless ocean views to the southwest of the Pacific Ocean, and north to Santa Monica mountains. Caption The volume of the home is a three-story structure comprised of concrete, wood, steel, and glass; clad in smooth stucco and travertine. The floor plan provides an indoor to outdoor connection, enhanced by the transparent walls that allow for plenty of natural light and maximize views of the coastline. Deschutes River Airfiled

The Deschutes River Airfield is an 8,600 sf facility, located in eastern Oregon. The overarching project entails the development of 150 acres situated in the semi-arid lands east of the Tualatin Mountains. Caption Divided into two phases, the first phase involves the development of a hangar composed of corten steel and contrasting light wood siding. In addition to the requisite support space for flight planning and airplane maintenance, the hangar provides a residential space and amenities for the owners and pilots including a lounge, office, and kitchen. Caption The second phase calls for additional property development entailing a primary residence, guest house, and additional flight support facilities. More

Westfall

Built to take full advantage of its natural surroundings and incorporate the outdoors with indoors, the Westfall Residence has a warm, yet modern quality. Wrapped in western red cedar siding and elongated warm brick profiles, natural materials are used to reflect the site’s ruralness and create a dialogue with the local vernacular.Located in the rural countryside of East Canton, Ohio and situated on a secluded 40-acre lot the home is comprised of a Y-shaped floor plan to maximize views of the surrounding hills.  Floor to ceiling glazing enables indoor-outdoor connections, while an earth-berm emphasizes the gesture of the home extending out from the landscape. AETHER Apparel Flagship Store

Born out of the desire for a men’s collection that looked at home in the city but was built to withstand the outdoors, Aether worked with Assembledge+ to develop their new flagship store that would support the brand’s mission to create a complete lifestyle collection for urban-dwelling, design-focused, well-travelled men and women. Yoshihiro Makino Located in the heart of Los Angeles’ La Brea design district, the retail space is set in a 4,000square-feet industrial space. Two full-sized glass garage doors open onto the sidewalk, facilitating interaction with the pedestrians, and allowing for natural light and air to fill the space. On the second-floor master suite, a 90-degree multi-slide expands the bedroom by opening up to a balcony.
Two floor-to-ceiling Western Window Systems multi-slide doors open up the main living/dining area to the backyard and the Hollywood Hills canyons beyond it.
The 90-degree multi-slide in the master suite seamlessly merges the indoors with the outside.
“Western Window Systems had no problem accommodating the required heights (of the doors),” says architect Brooks Dunn.
