Building a family Father, mother, child. Like a prototypical family, two large and two small buildings combine into an ensemble accommodating a total of 94 residential units in Kirchberg, Luxembourg City. Two stretched-out linear buildings in the Quartier du Parc Réimerwee are located on the north-eastern edge of a new development area, with the north-western side lined by Boulevard Konrad Adenauer. The house CBCR is located in a suburb of Luxembourg City. Build on a plot which provides a south-orientation with an open view on the valley landscape. The two- storey residential house with small studios in the basement consits of a total living area of 400 m2.All rooms are oriented to the south and benefit of the amazing view.The structural support consists of a concreet structure without internal supports, completely opended to the south and with a free floor plan: All fixtures and walls are wood post construction with dark glazed multiplex panels that include wardrobes and cupboards, thus providing flexibility in the long term. It is the world’s safest storage and trading platform for your valuables. IMDA is its production developer and Carmelo Stendardo/3BM3 Architecture (based in Geneva) are the building architects. A geometric grid Recent urban developments tend to create homogeneous and generic landscapes and cities. The urban plan of the Grünewald district, which is part of the new European district in Luxembourg, was developed based on a geometric grid. The mixture of building blocks, private gardens and squares has the structure of a chessboard. The district is on the edge of a plateau, where it borders the open landscape overlooking the valley.
