Casa Verde
Casa Verde is located in Costa Nova do Prado, a Portuguese Atlantic beach famous forits “palheiros”—originally storage buildings used in fishing, which over generationstransformed into colorful striped houses, delighting the holidaymakers lucky enough topass through.
The single-family house sits on an urban plot next to the beach dunes, covered withvegetation that shields the buildings from the north winds and the rough Atlantic waters. The site, with its unique landscape between the estuary and the sea, is exposedto tough weather, alternating between calm, sunny summer days and themore severe storms of winter.

House in Ílhavo
All around you can still feel the old farm fields, but this is still a very urban house.
The owners inherited the land from their grandparents and decided to build this house on it. A ground floor (or predominantly ground floor) house that accomplishes the family’s desires.

The parcel, with little depth, extends slowly along the street, almost disappearing around the curve.
The exercise was to accommodate the demanding deployment area, avoiding the proximity of the street and the neighbors. This imposed presence is not always easy to manage, without giving up the outdoor spaces.
