The Former Měšťák Hotel Český Krumlov
Author's report The hotel rooms are located in the former Měšťák Hotel, in the very centre of Český Krumlov. Originally three separate Gothic houses from the 14th century were joined into one complex in the 1950s. Unfortunately, the houses have undergone several large renovations during their life (last one in the 1990s), having had most of their original details, with a few exceptions removed. One of such exceptions is the 'presidential suite' with its preserved carved Renaissance beam ceiling. In the design, we tried to bring the buildings' long lost nobleness back into the rooms and also introduce something from its original features - wooden beam ceiling and parquet floors. The SPOJOVNA Brewery
The SPOJOVNA brewery is located on the border of three Prague districts - Chodov, Kunratice and Šeberov. This area is unique for its composition of residents. It is a blend of different worlds (which are also a beer names): študák, being represented by a student hostel, kravaťák – a business one in the nearby office park, and fešák - the common life of the housing estate inhabitants. These worlds intersect in the new brewery. Brief description: a restaurant specialized in lasagne, Korunní 35, Prague 2A bistro specialized in Italian lasagne is situated in Korunní street, at the district Královské Vinohrady, Prague. Former grocery store is characterized with its large display windows and light interior. Each part of lasagne is prepared directly in the bistro, either in the kitchen which is linked to the place with a large opening, or on the counter in the restaurant, which constitutes the central element of the bistro.There are 2 horizontals – the floor and the ceiling – which are crucial parts of the visual design of the interior.
