Located in the Finnish archipelago, Kivi-Sauna is built to endure the region’s challenging climate. Its aerodynamic shape and curved wooden panels are designed to adapt to the natural forces of the environment. Every element of the design, from its structure to its cladding, responds to the surrounding landscape. Kivi Sotamaa Perched on the edge of a cliff, the sauna merges with the rocky terrain, appearing as both part of the natural landscape and a work of human craftsmanship. Sharp black cuts in the silvery facade reveal a small terrace with sweeping views of the sea.
