Bay House is a compact two-bedroom retreat in a 13-acre master plan. The client wanted a home that opened to its surroundings while offering privacy for short stays. BNA BNA BNA BNA The design is built around three linear bays. One bay houses the bedrooms; the other two form the living core—an open-plan arrangement of living, dining, and kitchen. This setup allows uninterrupted sightlines, cross ventilation, and a direct connection to the gardens. Openings at each end frame views, turning the outdoors into natural extensions of the home. The 30-acre Natura Gardens incorporates 10 acres of restored wetlands, striking a delicate balance between community needs and environmental responsibility. The restored wetlands became an opportunity to demonstrate how communities can serve as the custodians of scarce environmental resources. The site plan integrates the wetlands so residents can experience the seasonal changes of this essential ecosystem.
