CCE House
#1_ SITE
The project is situated in Chacras de Coria, Luján de Cuyo, Mendoza, within a semi-urban setting of low-rise housing, vineyards and poplar trees that defines the cultural landscape of the Greater Mendoza foothills. The house — 170 m² developed on a single level — emerges from the desire to create an introverted refuge that engages with its context through a logic of containment and controlled openness.
The condition of the plot boundary is resolved by a continuous perimeter wall of exposed reinforced concrete that runs the full length of the building line. Strazik house
The project site is a six-acre vineyard within The Vines of Mendoza, in Los Chacayes, Tunuyán, located 85 kilometers southwest of the city of Mendoza, Argentina. Set at the foothills of the Andes and immersed in the renowned Uco Valley—one of the country’s most prestigious wine regions—the house is surrounded by open horizons and the profound silence of the Andean landscape.
In this vast topography, Scott, the client—an enthusiast of wine and its culture—chose to acquire his own vineyard, produce his wines, and build a home where he could share days of rest, nature, and contemplation with his loved ones.

From the beginning, the Master Plan of this property was conceived in various phases of development: hotel, bungalows, villas and winery. It’s difficult to achieve this organic process when embarking on nature and environmental projects. In any complex project, resolving unknown issues can lead to even superior results. The true challenge was to preserve the untouched soil in its natural state, without intervening in the picturesque scenery. The first task: not to disturb the magnificent environment, while also constructing a more accessibly friendly location. In order to correctly make each detailed decision about the site, it was important to take into consideration the topography of the location. Countless seasonally dry streams flowed dow... More
