Our project proposed a reflection on the role of the void in a city dense and consolidated that offers opportunity for a new public space. As background, the "ensanche" of Barcelona was chosen, designed by Idelfons Cerda in the late nineteenth century and consolidated during the twentieth century. For Barcelona the "ensanche" is more than a neighborhood, is the center that articulates the distinct historic urban organizations.
