The philosophy behind the architectural design of the project reflects a harmonious duet, an interplay between two contrasting yet complementary elements. The concept of a duet is integrated throughout the design to symbolize unity, balance, and the beauty that arises from the coalescence of seemingly contrasting elements. Things Studio Things Studio Nature, our primary inspiration, has been gracefully blended with the structural components of the project. House by the River

The building was designed on a very long and relatively narrow plot of land. The terrain gently slopes from the local road towards the riverbank. However, this picturesque location had its limitations. Due to the risk of flooding, the regulations only allow construction to take place along the road, raised above the so-called hundred-year flood level. The possibility of building underground floors was also excluded. Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski Piotr Krajewski The investors' intention was to create a home for a multi-generational family—a house that would be full of light and provide residents with a sense of space. CoCo Cha Taiwan Tea & Coffee – White Lantern

CoCo Cha Taiwan Tea & Coffee – White Lantern is an architectural renovation project, with the current status of a low-budget garden cafe. The main problem here needs attention, is to put a new design into the old architectural appearance, for the two to harmonize with each other, as well as minimize the cost of renovation. Nguyen Thinh Nguyen Thinh The project is located in the new urban area of Phan Rang city, right at the corner of the main road and receives almost direct sunlight from the West. Therefore, in order to ensure the elements both get light as well as get a direct view to the outside, but still have to prevent the heat from the sun, PTARCH Studio decided to design a space that is both solid and hollow. The FUTRHOMES QUANTUM

The FUTRHOMES QUANTUM is the realization of a 10-year pursuit, to offer the fabled "home of tomorrow" to prospective buyers, at a market price. Like all projects, this one has a story that seems to define the end result through inspiration and epiphanies, with specific goals and objectives to be met. This is that story. AK MEDIA, LLC AK MEDIA, LLC AK MEDIA, LLC FUTRHOMES, LLC was just an idea in 2014 that was birthed when the owner, Vincent Black, saw a magnificent modern home online that captured the imagination and sparked the quest to understand how this magnificent house (The Burlingame Residence by Toby Long Designs) could be constructed as a modular home. The quest yielded in forming the company, and later registering... More

Cube Building

In the early 20th century, large quarters in the central part of Dnipro were often developed with small residential houses and auxiliary structures. Forming a dense building perimeter that aligns with the scale of urban spaces in the historical center remains pertinent in 21st-century cities. Andrey Avdeenko The new cubic building integrates into the historical context with consideration for the further development of the quarter. Its height of 20 meters adheres to the modern height standards for buildings in the historical center. The solid end walls allow for potential future perimeter development along the street. SF BAY | HILLSIDE HOUSE

Occupying a six acre hillside parcel and constrained by access and local regulation, the Hillside House unfolds down an oak studded slope. The structure cuts itself into the land allowing discreet access from the top and concealing the two additional floors below from street view. The middle level houses the public activities of the home and cantilevers a glassy corner into the canopy of an ancient coastal oak tree. The dark cedar wood rainscreen skin allows the bulk of the house to recede into the groves and help to break down the scale of the house. ASPEN | HORIZON HOUSE

The concept for the Horizon House was to imbue the architecture with the essence of the vast panoramic view found at the site. In order to capture the wide expanse of mountain and valley, the architecture uses a language of longitudinal planes to frame the Aspen horizon. Suspended above a rugged, stone plinth, the roof planes define spaces that cascade down the steeply sloped site and curate views both focused and panoramic. Floor-to-ceiling glass and strategically placed sliding doors connect the town and mountain view to a protected upslope courtyard for a truly seamless connection with nature.  ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE ADAM ROUSE Caption More

With a 220 sqm sheltered courtyard in their 5-hectare acreage, the site was mechanically cleared for a new, inventive, modern Japanese landscape design.
