Chesapeake
This new house is located in NW Washington DC on a steeply-sloped and forested site. The project is a speculative house for a local developer, so it was designed to be constructed efficiently. The composition is organized as a series of vertical volumes situated within the trees, and stepping down the sloped site. The first floor is tall, so the volumes seem to “float” above the ground. A glassed-in corner dining room is featured from the street, while the living room and kitchen are situated toward the rear of the house, facing the overlook of pool and rear yard. Café Brass is a modern, all-day restaurant embracing Victorian history and European culinary traditions to bring you classic, easy dining in a stylish, laid-back atmosphere. The design Murano chandelier Dadaumpa is characterised by dynamic shapes. Even if its structure resembles that of the classic chandeliers in Venetian style, the various elements have been revisited and reassembled in order to create a dynamic structure.The central column has been transformed in a wavy element. Heavy Rain is a larger version of Rain, more suitable for voids with high ceilings and stairwells.
Heavy Rain captures the shimmery sparkle of raindrops frozen in descent and voices a whimsy chime of flutes. Individual drops are visually quite subtle, but gain tremendous strength when multiplied and clustered in large groups.

To furnish this flat in the heart of Berlin the client chose to combine our contemporary chandelier Space Age with matching wall light to a classic/chic furnishing style.
