Zen Modern Retreat
Our client wanted a home that is a nod to her Asian heritage. That was a key starting point in the design but along with that they wanted a modern home with an open floor plan which drove some of the character of the home in terms of massing and details.

Through design iterations with the client, we developed the idea that the great room space would be a two-story vaulted space that would allow a lot of natural light in, with tall, full-height windows, not small transom windows.

Modern Euro Remodel
From a story and a half to a full two story, they wanted to have a more updated look to the house but they loved the neighborhood, they wanted to improve their lifestyles there the connection between the pool activities and the indoor actives. In doing so we improved the other spaces too, master suite. Added the second floor to improve upon all the bedrooms. Modern European style has the essence of traditional feel but with the update of today’s living style.

Modern Condo
Our clients wanted to completely remodel and refresh their three-story condo following principles of Feng Sui. There were curves in the ceiling of the great room that were existing. We kept it because the clients liked the asymmetry of it. Keeping it also kept to amount of change to a minimum. So we worked with it!

We completely ripped out the stair and redid the whole staircase with an open tread system so that when you walk into the home, you have this sense of being brought all the way in and not being stopped at the stairs.

Curving Modern
The most striking feature of this home are the razor-edge roof profiles and the fact that those roofs swoop both vertically and horizontally. It is really an evolution of modern design. It uses all of the typical architectural rules of modern home design and takes it to the next level.

The roof forms serve functions on the exterior. They overhang to provide shade during the warmer months and then create a really unique transition from the single story portion of the home to the second story. Plus, they take form in the great room with a curved ceiling form above that transitions up to the second floor, creating a timeless architectural element.

The Meadows
The Meadows is a contemporary take on the historic vernacular architecture of Litchfield County. Sited on a sloping lot with sweeping views of the rolling hills surrounding it and surrounded by native meadows down to the treeline, the familiar forms of the house are punctuated by large window openings and sharp clean lines that bring a modern sensibility to a historic barn typography.

Montana Mountain Home
Our Montana Mountain home at at one with its landscape and supports our clients outdoorsy lifestyle. Large glass panel walls out to the mountains and the valley view as well. A deck also runs along the full main level of the house, creating indoor-outdoor living environments for fresh Montana mountain air. Cars enter under the great room of the house into a covered car port area that’s sheltered from the environment by the house itself.
