The "MriyDiy" School is located in a new micro-district developed on the site of the former "Polyaron" plant, which had long ceased its operation. This area had been neglected for a considerable time and required revitalization. Under the Seismic Mitigation Program, and in collaboration with Montgomery Sisam Architects (MSA) from Toronto, SHAPE Architecture completed the Project Definition Report for the existing Maple Grove Elementary, which was approved by the Ministry of Education in March 2017 for a full replacement school. The team immediately embarked on facilitating numerous workshops with the school community including parents, teachers and students. Colégio Bento Benedini is located in the city of Ribeirão Preto on the corner of two important avenues in the city. When the clients came to us, in the early 1990s, they were looking to expand the school and would like to remain in the same location. For this reason, the construction deadline was a major challenge, as classes could not be delayed or stopped completely. Albeda Rotterdam The Hague Airport (RTHA) will open her doors in the school year 2020-2021. The airport itself will play an active role in the development of the curriculum, allowing students to get as close to their professions as possible. The building concept was developed through a series of workshops in close cooperation with educators. This resulted in a mix of traditional classrooms and flexible, open spaces that are enriched with eye catchers from a wide variety of aviation mock-ups.  Both the interior and exterior were designed by the team of BSA Wim de Bruijn.
