The Twins, Kai Tak is home to the new flagship SOGO, the city’s largest Japanese-style department store. Situated in Tower I, our site features a long escalator that connects a striking triple-height atrium on the 10th floor to the Restaurant Park on the 12th floor. The design aims to transform this area into an immersive experience that transports visitors from the typical department store environment to an Engawa-inspired setting, inviting them to navigate through a space that evokes the impression of being inside a lantern. The multifunctional complex is located in the central part of Lviv’s Sykhiv district – an area with a high concentration of residential and educational functions. The site is situated at the intersection of Chervonoi Kalyny Avenue and Kos-Anatolskyi Street, benefits from convenient transport connections, and is bordered on the western side by a tram line, which is an important prerequisite for the formation of a large public complex. The shopping centre Q19 breathes new life into a long underrated quarter in Vienna’s 19th district. Between railroad tracks, the Karl-Marx-Hof and the now revitalized Kreilplatz, the former Samum Papierfabrik mutates into a shopping mall in Döbling, now an urban landmark in north-western Vienna. SINGHA Complex is the Flagship office tower of Singha, and is built on the old Japanese embassy site on Phetchaburi road. Architecture by Kohn Pederson Fox SL+A were the design specialist for the retail podium – approximately 4,500 m2.With design inspired by moving liquids and the pattering of print and embroidered fabrics the interiors have a movement and flow that links seamlessly with the architectural language and works with the sensuous multi level retail interiors. As part of a wider urban plan for the surrounding area, Architectkidd renovated a retail development occupying a large space at the busy intersection in Bangkok. Taking an opportunity to question the typical closed “big box” model of shopping malls, the aim was to create a more dynamic presence as well as to allow everyday life to permeate through into the building. The project is located in the La Perla Shopping Center District, in the City of Zapopan, Jalisco, Mexico. It is an exercise in urban integration that combines modernity through architecture and tradition in the activities of the community in Jalisco. Caption The facade converges at a vertex that forms the union of two avenues, it is formed by a grid of triangular modules with flat pieces and in low relief, forming a subtracted pyramid, which when rotated allows multiple variables, and when combined it manages to transmit the sensation of movement. Play with heritage Hidden in the beautiful mountainous landscape of Piemonte, some little towns stand out as tiny gems in the lush green of the woods. These small agglomerations of few houses tied together inspired Carve for the design of an attractive and iconic playscape concept at Serravalle Designer Outlet. Sapphire 83 is a distinct example of a neighbourhood shopping complex that gives the user an opportunity to ‘shop while walking.’ The project is a combination of multiple amenities, including a Cinema hall run by INOX, 120 service apartments, almost 100 retail outlets and numerous family restaurants. Inspired by the tropical Queensland climate, the newly transformed Hyperdome North Mall creates a vibrant and memorable environment for shoppers through its playful design. Key dwell spaces are characterised by vibrant colours and textures framed by dappled sunlight which pours in from the lightweight ceiling canopy above, reminiscent of an external pergola; while the surrounding mall areas are kept neutral to highlight the retail offering.
