The former residential farmhouse on Brandsweg was destroyed after a fire. The historical context called for restoration of the rural appearance to contemporary standards. The resident’s wish was a sustainable life-proof home with all support functions on the first floor. Caption The main volume of the new farmhouse remained the same in ridge and gutter height. To prevent cluttering, the length of the house has been increased. This makes the farmhouse house more recognizable from the street and allows all functions in the new main volume.
