"Villa Link" is a narrative of the bond and coexistence between two generations of a family (parents as the traditional generation and children as the contemporary generation), considering their needs and lifestyles. The family consists of five members, including a father, mother, and three children who have reached adolescence and youth, expressing a desire for greater independence while still seeking the warmth and support of the family nucleus. Consequently, they sought a home design that embodies both the notions of privacy and intimacy. The house consists of two volumes that are intertwined, but remain legible as two different masses. The position of the house is adjusted to existing trees on the lot. Striking masonry chimneys anchor both volumes in the landscape and bring balance to the horizontal lines of the house, all with a wink to Dudok. In harmony with the surroundingsOn a beautiful plot, surrounded by tall trees, this contemporary bungalow fulfilled the dreams of the new residents. The serene environment in which the house is situated exudes a certain calmness. The main principal of the design was to let the house embrace this serenity and to not overwhelm the environment in both design and materialization. The house consists of four volumes of different heights that are strategically placed on the plot and form a harmonious composition. The volumes, each with its own function, are positioned around a patio that forms the heart of the house.
